When my husband sent me an email that said, “Pick a pair of shoes off this site as fast as you can” I was pretty stoked. I mean, what girl doesn’t like to be told that?? I about died when I saw the prices, I confess. I’ve been a Payless Shoes girl for years—I’d never owned even a pair of running shoes that broke the $100 mark, so the idea of having a pair of the kind of shoes I read about in magazines and on fashion blogs was just overwhelmingly awesome.
And then they came in the mail, in their very own box all wrapped up in paper….so pretty! Swoon! If regular shopping is all about the instant gratification, online shopping is about ten times as exciting because of the delayed gratification. Getting shoes in the mail was super fun.
I’d picked out a pair of shoes that I thought would take me from late spring to early fall for several years. I love a good wedge and I have a nice pair of neutral and sparkly silver wedges, so this time around, I went with black. When you’re investing in a good pair of shoes, going with something that’s pretty classic in style and in-tune with your own likes is a must.
I was very, very impressed with the fact that the shoes were made of high-quality materials. They are a little higher than I was expecting, but they’re still very comfortable to wear. The first time I wore them, I was speaking at a conference. I didn’t sit down for almost 2 hours that day and my feet didn’t hurt a bit afterwards. I guess it’s worth it to pay for high-quality items if your feet feel good at the end of a long day.
Boys, if you’re looking to impress your wife this Mother’s Day, take her to this site and say, “Pick a pair of shoes—any one you want.” You won’t be sorry.
