I like to write things down. That’s why I blog. But I also have two kids, teach full time and am a grad student taking 6 credit hours this semester. Yes, I’m exhausted and no, I don’t sleep. Your wife probably feels the same way.
The idea of having someplace to write lists and thoughts was appealing to me. Sure, I’ve got Evernote on my phone, MacBook and PC at work, but there’s just something about writing things down by hand that’s truly beautiful and rewarding.
This Mother’s Day, consider getting your wife a journal. This could be a place to write down funny/sweet things that the kids say, a place to make list s for all the millions of things she has to accomplish in a day—or maybe both!
I absolutely love this journal. The pages are lined, which is a must for me. They’re also perforated, so I can pull something out if I need to. The strap keeps the pages from getting all wonky if I throw it my briefcase, purse or bag. The fact that it’s made from ecologically friendly materials, well that’s the icing on the cake.
This Mother’s Day, consider giving your wife a journal from Ecosystem Life. Don’t just hand it to her—think about what she needs and give the journal a purpose. Write a little something special in there and have the kids decorate a page or two in the middle for her to discover later. Tell her, “this is so that you can write down ________.” Giving a journal is giving the gift of memories, or maybe just a memory, but either way, it’s a special, thoughtful gift!
